Flashback: Roy E. Disney

I haven't really had the time to send out any autograph requests lately so hence really haven't been receiving any. It's been about a month since I posted anything new on my blog and last night my dad was telling me that Roy E. Disney passed away. I wrote to him way back in 2001 when I first began sending out a bunch of autograph requests. I received this signed color photo of him and thought it would be nice to post this week in memory of him. The New York Times published a great overview today about his life and many accomplishments with Walt Disney Co.

Katy Perry

This past summer I wrote a request to Katy Perry. My last success for the month of October was this lovely signed color photo from Katy. She is another one of my favorite new artists. With her witty and addicting songs she definitely stands out from the crowd!

Jude Law

Jude Law is currently starring on Broadway in the production Hamlet. I loved him in the movie The Holiday. Last week I sent him this photo I got printed up and already got it back signed today! A FAST success and a fabulous addition to my collection.

Erin McCarley

Got another autograph in the mail today! Lately it seems my theme for autographs is female singer/songwriters and this one is no exception. I got a signed printout on glossy paper of a new artist Erin McCarley. I discovered her music this year when I downloaded her song "Pony (It's Okay)" back when it was the free song of the week on iTunes. Also really love the track "Love, Save the Empty".

Colbie Caillat

Earlier this month I sent a request to Colbie Caillat. I was suprised last week to recieve a response so soon. I got this signed photo as well as a sheet of Colbie Caillat stickers! Colbie is one of my new favorite singers over recent years. Head over to her Myspace to check out the new songs from Breakthrough as well as her hit single "Bubbly".

Brooke White

Yesterday I received back the 8x10 photo I sent to Brooke White from Season 7! I absolutely LOVE her cover version of Coldplay's hit song "Yellow"(from her pre-American Idol days) and her newly released single "Radio, Radio". Haven't heard them? David Cook

Today brought my first autograph success of the summer! I received a signed promotional 8x10 photo of the Season 7 American Idol finalist and winner David Cook. He is truly talented! It's hard to believe he attended the AI audition without the intention of trying out himself but instead to support his brother who was auditioning! I'm happy to add David to my collection. His career is off to a great start and he is one of my personal favorites from AI over the years!

Kara Dioguardi

I been awhile since I got an autograph TTM, so I was surprised to see one of those good old manila envelopes in the mail this weekend. In it was this signed and inscribed photo from Kara Dioguardi who is the new judge on this season of American Idol! Love her! She is also a songwriter and has written hit songs for pop artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff, Pink, Ashlee Simpson, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguliera and Celine Dion. Drew Lachey- IN PERSON! :)

My April ended on a high note. It was 98 Degrees and Rising...well, sort of. I met Drew Lachey, my favorite member of 98 Degrees! He signed and inscribed a photo for me as well as my Revelation album cover. Out of the few celebrities I have met in-person without a doubt he tops my list- he seems like such a down to earth and genuinely nice person! :)

Mackenzie Crook

Haven't got around to updating my blog in awhile but I do have some new autographs, one of them being another addition to my collection of the Pirates of the Caribbean cast! In November I sent off a request to Mackenzie Crook via the Broadway play The Seagull. He returned the photo from POTC that I sent shortly after in December- signed and inscribed to me. Another treasure for my collection!

Nikki Blonsky

I haven't sent out to many letters lately but apparently "You Can't Stop the Beat". Yesterday I received my photo back from Nikki Blonsky, the actress who played Tracy Turnbald in recent film version of Hairspray. She signed and inscribed my photo and sent me a nice little note thanking me for my letter and wishing me Happy Holidays! A class act for sure! :)

The Goo Goo Dolls

Yesterday I got my copy of the Goo Goo Dolls Vol.2 special internet edition CD that was only available as a pre-order. The CD came with a limited edition lithograph. A small number of them would be autographed. I lucked out and got one of the autographed ones!!! So excited about this one. I have been wanting the Goo Goo Dolls autographs for awhile but never had any success writing them via venue.

Peter Cullen

I was suprised to find this success in the mail last week as I wrote Peter a long time ago. I think the spring or summer of 2007 (I lost track of the record). Anyhow, I am glad to receive a response from him to add to my collection of Disney Voice actors. Peter Cullen provides the voice of Eeyore and he sent me this fabulous color photo of him and Eeyore that he signed and inscribed in silver sharpie!

Paula DeAnda

I haven't had time to write many autograph requests lately, but today I got a suprise in the mail! My sister sent me an autographed photo of teen R&B Pop singer Paula DeAnda. I hope to take sometime to get out some requests so hopefully I will have more updates of goodies to report soon!

Kate Voegele

I finally found the chance to scan the Kate Voegele autograph I got last month. Sorry for the delay in getting this post and scan up here, its been a busy month. Kate Voegele is a singer signed to the MySpace record label at Interscope Records. She also plays a character named Mia on the show One Tree Hill. I LOVE Kate's CD Don't Look Away- check out her music on her Myspace to hear her songs!

Aaron Eckhart

Last year I watched Aaron's movie about the tobacco industry Thank You For Smoking in my Public Relations class. It's a really great movie and for anyone who hasn't seen it I highly recommend doing so! I just recently sent off a magazine photo to Aaron which he returned back to me signed and he also sent along his own BW photo that he signed and inscribed to me. His reply time was super quick (11 days)! I'm really hoping these signatures are authentic because he is such a great actor. I want to see his film No Reservations that he did with Catherine Zeta-Jones as I didn't get the chance to see it in theatres.

Cast of Legally Blonde: The Musical

Omigod... omigod, you guys! So its been awhile since I posted but in April I finally got another success in the mail, a Playbill signed by the cast of the Broadway musical Legally Blonde. I got rush tickets to go see the show during my Spring break with my sister and cousin and it's phenomenal! Definitely one of my favorites on Broadway. I'd see it again in a heartbeat. :)

Home for the summer now and I'm starting to send out some more requests so hopefully I'll have some cool stuff to post in the upcoming months.

Ed Alonzo

Growing up I was a big fan of the television show Saved By the Bell. My sister and I would watch it all of the time. In July I emailed Ed Alonzo asking for an autographed photo. He played the role of Max, the magician/owner of the diner The Max. This February he sent me this BW 8x10 photo of him as his Saved By the Bell character and he also sent me a signed color postcard sized photo of himself.

Carole King

I wrote to Carole King about 3 years ago and never heard back from her. I heard that she'd been out on tour for the past several years and I decided to give her another shot. My parents are a fan of her music so I listened to it a lot growing up. I LOVE her album Tapestry, it's definitely a musical masterpiece. I received this back in January and was really excited about this success! I'm glad to add Carole's signature to my collection. She's a very talented singer and songwriter and I enjoy listening to her music. She sent me this 8x10 BW photo and even took the time to inscribed it to me! :)
